Open quote You've forced them to endure the theater and opera and museums and art galleries, and you've dragged them along on endless shopping expeditions. Now it's time to reward your children for their patience by taking them someplace they can have fun. Here are some of the best kid heavens in a few of the world's major cities:

Vienna: Zoom Children's Museum
There's an interactive music and mathematics show on until February 2004. In the Zoomlab, kids make cartoon films or take a virtual walk in space. In the Zoomstudio they get in touch with their creativity with the help of young Austrian artists. Under-6s and their parents can explore undersea worlds in Zoomocean.
Information: Museums Quarter, short walk from city center; www.mqw.at; www.kindermuseum.at. Children $6; adults $4

London: Trocadero
